Transform your passion into action. Become a Jewish Service Ambassador today! Our ambassadors are passionate individuals who have previously engaged in service programs and are eager to inspire others to volunteer and make a difference. Join our Jewish Service Ambassador program and become a leader in your community!

As an ambassador, you will receive training, a stipend, and the opportunity to lead volunteer programs that engage your networks. This is the perfect opportunity to develop your leadership skills, expand your network, and create lasting change in your community.

Please complete the following application and a Repair the World staff member will be in touch within 5 business days.

We need each ambassador’s full legal name for auditing purposes. We understand that legal names don’t always reflect an individual’s identity, and this information will be kept confidential.

How would you like us to refer to you in the third person? Some examples include she/her, he/him, and they/them

Relationship Agreement

Ambassadors are expected to:

  • Sign this Agreement and share up-to-date financial / W-9 information if applicable.
  • Host a service-learning program for your community, recruiting 15+ people to attend. If unable to recruit 15+ people, the stipend may be adjusted.
  • Work with Repair staff to identify and coordinate with a service partner whose needs match what you’d like to provide.
  • Participate in pre-program training.
  • Run all program operations on the day of the program, which includes collecting participant information.
  • Provide Repair the World with a program debrief report that includes a list of participants and impact of your service (number of items distributed, pounds of food collected, hours of service, etc.).
  • Complete an end-of-year survey about your experience as an Ambassador.

Additional relationship understandings:

  • The ambassador is considered an “independent contractor” regarding this relationship.
  • The ambassador will bear sole responsibility for withholding, reporting, and payment of any federal, state, or local income, payroll, or employment tax or withholding, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, or liability insurance owed or payable in respect of the ambassador. The ambassador agrees to indemnify and hold Repair harmless regarding all such payments claimed or assessed by any taxing authority. The ambassador will provide Repair with an IRS Form W-9 so that Repair may properly issue an IRS Form 1099 if required by law.
  • The ambassador will not be eligible to participate in any Repair employee benefit plans or programs and understands that they are not eligible for wages, compensation incentives, health or other insurance, or any other benefits provided to Repair employees. The ambassador and Repair acknowledge that this Agreement does not constitute a hiring or employment agreement.
  • Confidentiality: The ambassador agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all non-public information provided to them by Repair or received from any source related to work for Repair.

Policies:

Repair does not facilitate or support programs that deny Israel’s right to exist or partner with organizations or individuals that are antisemitic or that deny Israel’s right to exist.
